Bund lining for a Nuclear Power Station
The concrete bund was deemed an environmental concern as containment could not be assured due to the level of deterioration of the concrete elements of the bund and sealant joints due to chemical exposure and general environmental degradation.
The refurbishment of the concrete bund involved the following:
- Localised concrete repairs to concrete walls
- Concrete fillet repairs to the wall floor junction
- Sealing of joints to bund walls with chemical resistant sealant
- Application of chemical resistant coating to the entire bund
