Refurbishment of Wet Well Cover Slab for a Water Company
The client had an old wet well that had the cover slab damaged during emergency works and due to the levels of Hydrogen sulphide gas (H2S) within the sewer and no chemical dosing local to the site so the client required protection against acidic corrosion to the concrete cover slab
The application required
- Mechanically preparing the substrate to form a mechanical key for the concrete lining to the cover slab
- Refurbishment of the cover slab by installing a concrete lining to the cover slab
- Application of chemical resistant coating to the cover slab
