Manhole Refurbishment for a Water Company
The client had 10nr manholes that were suffering from Hydrogen sulphide attack (H2S) due to there being no chemical dosing being present within the local area and the client was at risk of having an environmental incident if the works were left untreated due to the structural condition of the manholes.
The application required:
- Mechanically preparing the substrate to form a mechanical key for the concrete lining to the manholes
- Refurbishment of the manholes by installing a concrete lining using a concrete repair mortar
- Application of chemical resistant coating to the manholes
